R56 Ground strap location
Can you post a picture of your CAS module that includes all the labels?
Also, have you previously successfully push started your MINI? If so, was it easy to do? I'm trying to figure out the significance of your recent inability to push start your Mini.

In thermal failure cases like yours, the issue is rarely a burnt chip. It is usually a fatigued internal relay or a micro-crack in a solder joint that can be repaired. Start by contacting these two reputable companies: The ECU Pro or RPM Motorsports. Prices seem to be around $500-$550.
Note: If The ECU Pro puts your CAS in their heat chamber and it fails to trigger the starter, they will credit the $159 diagnostic fee toward the $350 repair.
Shopping around for other reputable CAS repair services obviously would be wise.
To ensure a successful repair, most repair services require you to send them:

1. Your CAS3 Module
2. At least one working Key Fob to verify the immobilizer handshake.

3. The DME — Optional but recommended to verify that the "secret key" (ISN) matches between the CAS and the engine computer.
