Seat Mat Emulator

Has anyone had good long term results with the passenger seat emulators from eBay? If so, which ones? I have searched this thread and not found any definite good results. You Tube has many videos on how to install them but the comments often say that the airbag light comes back on after a period of time. I have a 2011 Mini Cooper S and like many others, the airbag lights stay on. TIA

I just installed one of these in my 2007 R56s a couple of days ago. I had bought an entire used black lounge leather interior last summer, but just installed it a few weeks ago. As soon as I started the car, I got the occupancy fault. I had no interest in disassembling both seats to swap out the mat...this seemed like a much easier solution. I bought this one:

Guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed that it continues working.

And it did nothing. I have contacted SRSDRIVE with the codes that I cannot clear with a Creator C501. We'll see what they say.

That's a downer, what P# and model/year/market is this on?
I'm successfully using their seat mat emulator on an R55 (P# SRS-MINI2002ES) and the SRS system on that car is a mess. Driver seat/steering wheel bags removed and tricked using resistors, OE pax occupancy sensor defective.
Think I read somewhere that none of this is necessary as these faults can be recoded to not trigger a warning. Anyone have more info on this?

There was no part number on the package nor the emulator. This is the eBay listing: For US MINI COOPER Seat Occupancy Mat Emulator Sensor Diagnostics 2011-2015. It is installed on a 2011 Cooper S R56 US market.
The codes I get are:
944E Seat occupancy detection, passenger - component does not correspond to coding
93C3 ACSM/MRS: Seat-occupancy detector, passenger
I have emailed SRSDRIVE support with this info and waiting on a response.

Emulator aside, would this be something that can be coded permanently off?

SRSDRIVE emailed me back and said to change the dip switches inside the emulator box. I did that then scanned again since the lights were still on. It reset this time and no error codes and no airbag lights! If they come back on, which I don't foresee, I will update this thread.
