So I just realized yesterday that I had a passenger in the seat, but the airbag off light was on. The car knew there was someone there because I told them to unbuckle of a moment, and the car then yelled at them for not having a seat belt on. I went in the owners manual and found that this might happen because it thinks the passenger is a baby seat because of the way the seat is positioned. It suggests moving the seat to a different position to turn the airbag back on. I was wondering if any of you had experience with this, why is seat position matter? Is it because I have the passenger seat set all the way back or something? Does this happen to you guys?
