Start/Stop Bouton

If I change this part Stop/Start switch (where we put the keyfob in) on my mini cooper R56 ... do I need a reprogrammation ? direct from Mini Dealer ?

Or it's a plug & play change ?

Thanks for your help

Even with this problem of a defect Star/Stop Switch I could start my car with just the key in that ... and after press the start button for like 10/12 sec and the car should start ?

Based off what i know it will have to be flashed at the dealership after install or it will not read.

Make sure it inserts and locks in position.

On another forum here what I found :https://www.minif56.com/threads/repl...-coding.89331/
Quote " I changed mine, no coding needed. It's literally just switches, no brains."

Call the dealer and i believe its 1 hour, dependent on dealer hour rate can very. I have seen dealers charge $100.00 and up.

Can you start the car at all? I would drive the car there and then have them install and flash. That's the only other way you can do it.

Oh its stuck in the slot, did you try the push in and pull out method. To try to unjam the socket reader. You have to push the key in with some force then pull out.
