Need affordable mechanic 2013 Mini Cooper S :(

So, I posted a thread about the knock sensor, and eventually managed to get the car to the mini service center. They called me back and sent me a service condition report. This is killing me. None of the car shops around me will work on the mini. So far, the only option is taking it to Charleston and have the Mini service place do the work. I seriously can't afford this. Just lost half my income due to workers comp terminating my benefits. (long story, brain injury at work, etc). Anyone know of a place that can help and work on this without charging this much? I'm near Aiken, SC.

Dig thru this. You don't say what town you're in so you can do a search to maybe find something closer.

PS: the prices shown for the work needing done are astronomically insane.

Thanks for the link. I've contact one in Charleston and will receive a quote in a little bit. I appreciate the info.

I used the same site and found five Mini-friendly shop in the Boise area. We have no Mini dealerships and the local BMW dealer won’t even talk to you about Minis and won’t order parts, the snooty bastards.

Well, the both of ya and anyone else who stumbles in, copy that URL (just the part up to .com) and save it in your MINI favorites file so you can share it with others who come along looking for the same.

And, F34R, be sure to share your results. Success stories are always welcome.
