2012 Cooper S sport button not working after jbe replacement

Hello,

so yesterday I replaced my jbe and everything except the sport button is working. I tried re-writing the VO in ncsexpert with the $4UF code and still no luck. Any other ideas would be appreciated!

Thank you,
Xavier S.

Is your old jbe still functioning enough to read the TRC in ncsexpert?
If so, I would swap it back into the car and read it out. Swap the new one back in, change the TRC suffix to MAN and code it. If I recall correctly you might need to change the profile settings in ncsexpert - otherwise it will code the module based on the VO and not the MAN file.

Sorry for the late response,
i ended up having the old jbe rebuilt and reinstalled. As far as the one i was trying to code, i ended up resetting the modules after enabling the $4UF flag. I had to reconfigure all the modules after as i didn't think to save any of the files from the one that was being rebuilt but it worked. May not be the right way of doing it but after 30 minutes of coding the car was back to normal.
Thank you for your help!
Xavier S.
