Coding adaptive headlight check? Carly vs Bimmercode?

Hi! I just gave my daughter a 2010 R56 for graduation (and because we have two new Teslas, when she got her license our insurance went through the roof… adding the R56 means if it lasts two years it will literally pay for itself). What a great car. Mechanically it is in good shape, but since we don’t have service records (yeah that sucks but since literally every other halfway decent mini is $10,000 more around here and there were no VW Beetles around our car options were limited), I am thinking of getting the timing chain tensioner done preemptively either at my mechanic or at someone else in Northern Jersey. Even with that cost added, this car will be in the average range for used R56s in this area. And I come from a long history of BMW ownership so I know about pricey repairs.

Anyway, speaking of BMW, we are on the Mac/iOS platform so are stuck with either Bimmercode or Carly (I bought it so long ago that I have a lifetime subscription). I would like to code out the adaptive headlight failure warning like I did when we replaced the lights in my 2011 335xi. Can this be done? The hitch is that although I have Carly, I sold both of my adapters and am not sure the previous generation works anymore whereas i do have an old V gate adapter that looks seems to connect with Bimmercode. It would be cheaper to have Bimmercode. But everything in expert mode appears to be in German. Also Bimmercode doesn’t seem to offer real time engine parameter monitoring which saved our butts once with a failing water pump in a 530xi 400 miles from home. Thoughts?

I have Carly and (as far as I can tell) you can't code out the adaptive headlights with it. Bimmercode appears to be able to do it, though I haven't bought a license yet to test it.

If you're going to buy one of the two I'd suggest Bimmercode, it seems to be able to do much more than Carly.
