Hello, I am fairly new to this forum and am seeking help with a pickle I have found myself in.
I recently did a headgasket job on my 2013 R56 Hatch S. The repair went smoothly but upon installing the PCV valve onto the intake hose the connector broke off inside the intake hose sensor and I'm not sure what to do in this situation.
when the car is started on a cold start it takes about 5 or 6 cranks to turn over and once the car is started it will begin the have a funky idle and when I lightly touch the gas pedal the car will drop in RPM's and struggle to regain and almost die.
at first thought before scanning for code I thought it was a fuel issue and went ahead and replaced the fuel rail pressure senor (I should've scanned the codes first) but the issue was not resolved, once I scanned the codes I found the P053A code ( Positive Crankcase Ventilation Heater) you can see in the picture's I provided
I have tried countless google searches with the part number provided on the connector (705-159) but have yet to find any information on this part. I'm not sure if I will have to replace the whole engine wiring harness or scrap a connector off of a used harness at a junkyard.
If you guys have any idea where I could find this connector or how I could fix this issue I would greatly appreciate it.
What’s the part number on that sensor? Certainly cutting that connector off a car in a junkyard would be easiest but it’s possible to get a new connector for it I’m sure, I’ve had to buy one to wire a new map sensor into my harness. Could also check eBay for someone parting out a mini and message them to ask if they can cut that connector off the harness to sell to you.
