O2 and Map sensor issues.
Hi all.
Mini Cooper non-turbo 2007.
A couple of months ago, I started noticing a whirring noise coming from the engine, over 2000 rpm. I then got engine management light and fault codes relating to pre-cat O2 sensor so I replaced the 02 sensor with a TVT one.
The fault codes for the O2 sensor initially disappeared, however have now returned after about 2 weeks along with a fault code relating to the map sensor.
My thinking is that the sensors are not at fault and that the codes are being generated by whatever mechanical issue is causing the whirring noise.
Anyone experienced this issue or got any ideas?
