Which Tuning company to go with?

Hey guys, to keep things short I need a new tune to remove the check engine light in my 2013 JCW. I have a full size front mount intercooler from Forge, full hot side and cold side intercooler piping from M7, ALTA intake, catless exhaust (straight pipe with only a muffler) and I just did the catless Down pipe last night. That’s what’s bringing this up. I just now got the code.

I am looking at two different companies that offer different tunes that’s basically say they do the same thing.

1) m7 speed (MAXX boost stage 2)
2) Detroit Tuned (RPM stage 2)

My question is, has anybody used either of these, what has anybody else done to fix the check engine light issue? Which company should I go with MAXX BOOST or RPM

if there are any other questions you need to know before making a better answer. Ask away.

Thanks in advance!

Go with the rpm, this seems to be the one everyone goes with, you can pm or email Mario Kart here on the forum, he offers a remote tune option.

There's also Prototype-R (https://prototype-r.com/tuning/shop). He's the only one I've seen that has actual data logging software and can remote tune the N18 still so you don't have to send your ECU out. The nice thing about working with him is you're actually talking to the person who is going to be tuning your car and not the middle man that just sells the tune. He also just made a post about being able to use the sport button to switch boost levels on the fly which is also pretty cool. Link to his post.

We researched a long time to find the right tuning solution and talk to and tried a lot of different brands. In the end, we felt that RPM with the best solution as far as product ease and outcome. We offer a few others based on different needs (for the R53), But for a gen2 and Gen 3 car RPM is hands down the best. We also had to interview with them to make sure we were a company they wanted to deal with and that we would stand behind our customers the way RPM stands behind their product. And I know there will always be a debate on this, but I would not ever say MAXX Boost is anywhere comparable in terms of power and safty to RPM. I had a lot of people try to do the same from Manic to RPM and after running the same tunes back to back RPM always won in the customers' eyes.
