Broke an electrical connection while removing t-stat

Hi all. Its been a while since I posted as I have not needed too. Anyway, while replacing the t-stat housing today, I broke (actually it crumbled in my hand) this connection below. It is the white one with the pink/red on it.

Does anyone know what this is for?
Any ideas on how to repair?

Looks like both the sensor and the connector on the wire side broke.

Thanks

Its the oil pressure switch.
New oil pressure switch: https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2009-...essure_switch/
New connector: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...h/12527542850/
New wire you can splice in if you cant get the pin out of the old connector: https://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin...&I1.x=0&I1.y=0

Don't feel bad, when I rebuilt my R53, and when I lowered the front subframe on my R56 I broke a few connectors. It's like they intentionally put them in all the most vulnerable spots.

If you didn't know about the site realoem.com will save your life. If you did then it's good knowledge for anyone running across this thread.
