Help! Identify an electrical connector?

UPDATE!!!

It was the back-up light switch on the transmission. Whew!

*******************************

Hi ladies and gents. I'm in the final stages of replacing the clutch in my '04 R53, and today I ran across a stray electrical connector that I failed to plug in during reassembly of the components on the top end.

Before I go any further, I feel like I should probably figure out where it goes!

The wire is located between the left end of the cylinder head and the air box, and according to the service manual I'm thinking it's either the ECT sensor wire or the MAP sensor wire.

But, I CANNOT find out where to plug it in.

Any ideas?

Here are some photos of it:

Update - definitely NOT ECT, found that sensor, and it's already got its wire.

Maybe the wire runs down, and not up? Connects to something underneath the engine? Starter?

Yep, it's the electrical connection for the reverse lights (green arrow below), which can also be found/discussed in our tech article here (figure 16): http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm. Glad you figured it out.
