R56 Passenger seat won't slide...

I've seen a few threads on this and read them, but I don't see a solution other than "buy a new seat rail". Maybe I'm missing something? Pulling up on the bar unlocks the left side slider, but not the right. Using the rear seat release (fold forward), it does not move either. I don't see anything stuck in the tracks...the cable doesn't look snapped. Looking for some things to try. Maybe a manual release so I can get in there? I'm a big guy, and I honestly can't see really well under there since it's all the way back. This also doesn't help my daughter getting in the back seat. LOL! Thank you for any advice.

Mine does that every once in a while. It helps to fold the back-rest forward and then lock it back into position before trying again the slide-lever.

Thanks George. I've done it a bunch, but even folding the back rest forward doesn't release it... :/

So it's been a few weeks. Unable to get to any of the bolts to remove the passenger seat. Right side (closest to door) still locked solid. The left side releases, then clicks back into place. Will not slide with the setback tilted forward, or using the lever at the front of the seat, or both...I'm out of ideas. Any seat guru's in here? I find it hard to believe I'm the only one that's had this issue. My luck that it's stuck COVERING the bolts to remove the sliders from the car and take the seat out. :/ Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been following this with interest because it just seems like such an oddball thing to have happen. If someone could post a pic of how the levers that control things work, you might be able to figure out what came apart or how to manually release the other track. Or maybe something is jammed in the track? I had a loose nickel get lodged in the track on a Toyota Celica years ago that caused all kinds of fits.
