full block n18 jcw and n14 cylinderhead . HELP!

Hello good afternoon .

your forum is great!

I was looking for information on something I want to do but couldn't find information anywhere ... maybe someone of you can help me...

I bought a full jcw n18 engine. my idea is use the complete block n18 jcw and mount the cylinder head of cooper s n14

I have doubts regarding the compression ratio that could be left ... will there be any problem? . anyone know anything about this topic?

many thanks! I hope everyone is well with their family in this quarantine!

greetings from Chile!

I came across a similar issue when I wanted to make an N14 out of an N18 block with N14 head. The issue right off the bar will the piston heads. Tue are raised and will the cylinder head. You'd have to replace the pistons in order for it to spin without hitting the head. Also, you'll have to swap the oil pump back to N14 and if you have a hose coming from the back of the block, that needs to be removed and plugged.
