After almost 12 years and 106K miles of 2007 R56 S ownership.... I have sold a very fine example of a mini to a new owner.... has been fun but it is time to move on! I had it advertised here, but my Cars.com ad seemed to be the one that worked. Wish everyone the best of luck with your mini's.

 

What replaced it?

 

Nothing yet... I have bought a 2002 NB Miata with Hard Sport package three years ago.... very reliable and runs, drives great even though it has a lot more miles on it than the Mini. Very easy and inexpensive to maintain and runs just about as fast on an AX course. I am either going to plunk some of that money into my current Miata to repair some rust and body/interior wear or I will sell my current Miata and take all the money (about 10K) and buy another 2001-2002 no-rust southern Miata with a lot less miles. Truly loved my Mini.... except those times when very expensive maintenance was due!!

 

I'm a former Miata owner (18yrs in an NA) , and although my MINI has been relatively trouble free, I'm really missing RWD. The new Miata with 181hp is really tempting.
