BSH Engine Mount Video Request

Hey guys, I'm seeing very conflicting information on this mount; most lean toward "it's way too NVH," while there are a few that are just fine daily driving with it. Can any of you that have it installed take a video of the cabin while the car is at idle, 3k rpms, and acceleration? I can't find any existing videos, so if there are any, posting them here would be great too! Thanks.

I don’t have a video, but I wanted to say hat it will be very hard to convey any additional NVH through the interwebs.

I kinda thought it might - do you have one, and can you describe the major differences if so? Or anyone else that has one :D

[EDIT: DAMMIT I posted in the gen 2 section again. Take this input accordingly as I have a gen1]

I had one on for a week.

The nvh is real and loud (a lot of increased cabin rattles) and easily felt. The real thing is that although it did improve pedal feel SLIGHTLY, the tradeoff in noise and vibes for a daily was not a fair swap. I ended up putting in the poly insert to the stock rubber mount and Im happy. I actually couldnt fgr the life of me get both halves in so I am just running with one half of the insert which took up all the slack left to right that I had and firmed up the rubber.

IMO the only car that should have that firm a mount is a track car. Its just to irritating for a daily. Anyway, there are much more effective places to spend money.

Ha! No worries, advice from the gen1 probably carries over relatively well. I'm on the fence still - I've had an offer for a used one, and I've also read that it gets slightly less aggressive after a few thousand miles. The powerflex line has two models: race and street - are those the inserts you got and which style did you order? From what I've read, they're much more tolerable than the BSH.

I had the BSH lower engine mount on my 2012 mcs. I took it off 2 days later. it was like driving in a giant vibrator. I ended up buying the urethane inserts and im very happy with them. In fact i still have the BSH ( up for grabs)

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! I got caught up in the hype and learned for myself that the BSH mount IS TERRIBLE IMO. vibration will drive you mad, I think its because their rubber compound is too hard. My mechanic asked why do I even want this when I brought it to him, and he was right and had the TOLD YOU SO LOOK on his face when I brought the car back the next day to have him take it off. I'm back to stock and don't miss it..

I think I'm going with a poly bushing, not BSH. I haven't gotten it yet, but I do appreciate the feedback and hope this thread can help anybody looking in the future.
