Good Day with bad news.
I need to to replace my engine. I have a Euro spec MCS 2007. I only can find US spec motors. What is the difference between N14B16AB vs 14B16A. Can I install the US motor on my Euro spec Mini? Any info would help. Thanks.

It could be seized due to broken chain and seized vacuum pump. remove the valve cover and take a look.
but to answer your original question, I dont know if emissions are factor in the engine build! you might be able to buy US parts to rebuild it.
