Anyone know how much a brand new out of the box MCS motor would cost? Including all the good parts?

I suggest calling your local dealership's part's department.

what do you mean, "am I looking?" If you mean would I buy it tommorow, well no, but i have plans and ambitions, and this info would be helpful.

I had also thought about the parts department, but they are not usually terribly helpful, so I thought I would check here first.

cheers, jason

I've heard it's $3500 from the factory.

We discussed this a bit here:

Its not as difficult as everyone is making out if your willing to ditch the blower. I won't talk about a turbo but here goes.

You can put the block and trannny into an MC. I am currently doing just that. In a nut shell, the following have been the probs to date.

1) There are some minor harness issues but not enough to make a difference.
2) Since I'm not putting the S head on (I'm putting a big valve MC head on), the intake , TB, and associated parts fit beautifully.
3) Mounting the alternator, nothing hige just won't fit right yet.

The ECU isn't a prob since I will be using my MC one and get a OneClick with my mods.

All in all , I wanted a stronger tranny and bottom end capable of handling a good bit of boost and I got. All for the 2800 (including shippin) I spent plus the modes I've already done.

And the joy of doing it
