Clutch fluid replacement?

OK. If your clutch feed off of your brake fluid reservoir, shouldn't you also bleed new fluid to your clutch? I have a pressure bleeder but how do you get new fluid to the clutch system? Do you just open the bleeders with the pressure bleeder attached like the brakes or do you have to pump it manually?

Thanks

Same system. I would start with the clutch, as it is the smaller system. Then proceed to the brakes. Always be sure to evacuate as much as you can from the master reservoir before starting. And always be sure to use compatible fluid.

^^ same systems. Do the clutch first. Bleed it a couple times to get all the air out. I used the ATE type 200 on both MINIs , great stuff.

I did my brake fluid flush last night and tried bleeding the clutch slave cylinder also the same way as I do with the brake calipers. I have MC cap open, opened clutch cylinder bleeder valve as the wife pushed on the clutch and hold it at the end, waited for fluid to come out then closed bleeder, except nothing would come out even after 10+ tries. Checked and the MC was also full so not sure why nothing was coming out. Greatly appreciate any input you guys can give me, thanks in advance!

Slave should be closed while pumping the pedal otherwise you are pulling air back in through the bleeder. Close the bleeder, pump the clutch 4-5 times and hold, open bleeder, close bleeder, repeat. Once you have enough pressure for the pedal to come back up, set something between the pedal and bottom seat cushion so the pedal is depressed. leave it over night, check in morning you will probably have to pull pedal up a little as air will have escaped. Top off fluid and good.

The slave bleed procedure requires you to pump the pedal a handful of times then open the bleeder, no pumping, let the system bleed (pressure bleeder on the master strongly recommended) until the fluid runs clean or for about 20-30 seconds, close bleeder, feel pedal, repeat if necessary.

I usually set the bleeder to 13-15 PSI to do a bleed on either the brakes or slave.
