Exhaust tips are purely a cosmetic type feature. Your exhaust shop should have pics and specs so you can pick the ones you like, and sizing will depend upon what size the outlet pipe(s) they are installing will be. I like the tips on my Remus Powersound cat-back system, as they fill up the cutout in the rear bumper outlet area very nicely.

Basic high school math. Circumference of the pipe divided by π (3.14) will give you diameter.

Its best to be cautious when getting exhaust tips. Try to get one that wont rust very easily. It would kinda suck if you get a tip and have it installed and a couple months down the road you are searching again for another tip due to rust.

Im still a little confused about what the specs are i need to go by if i get online which i probably will be doing. do i need 2 tips? or one with a dual exit? The inlet size is 2.25 but what do i need to go by to make sure they fit in the cutout? Also do you guys have any that you can post in here or link another post cause i cant find one Thanks a ton

If you have a stock muffler, then you should have two individual pipes coming from the muffler that makes the dual tip.

The stock tips are removable by using hex keys. located on the bottom.

one with a dual exit? = won't work
do i need 2 tips? = yes

as for the size tips you should get, i'm not sure.
I would have to look it up or maybe some one on here knows.

Does that muffler have a single inlet and a single outlet?
I looked it up but apparently their is multiple designs.

I think the OP has a stock muffler, I'm not sure.

Yes it's a 6 1/2 inch muffler with a center inlet and center outlet. I welded exhaust hangers on the top of it and hung it from where the factory muffler used to sit. I would recommend pairing it with a nice high-quality resonator if not the drone is insane(still currently running the factory downpipe as well). But it's an aggressive low pitched sound that I really enjoy.

Maybe one day I'll post a video.
