I recently installed an AFe cold-air intake, and the MAF is contacting my Racing Dynamics strut bar brace. It seems to be pretty solid contact, but I can push the MAF area of the intake down and clearly create some distance. Does anyone think that vibrations transferred from my strut bar brace could cause issues with my MAF? Been fine so far, a month or so. I do not hear any kind of rattles from the contact when driving/motoring hard. I could probably grind some of the plastic off of the MAF collar to free up some room, but that may create issues where none have existed so far. Similar experiences or ideas, anyone? Thanks in advance.

 

Do you have a pic , the AFE intake does hold the Maf in place, but if i remember right you can rotate the maf housing a bit. So the plug will not point up near the brace.

 

Thanks, ECS. But it's not the plug. It's the actual round part of the housing. I will see about taking a pic or two.
