CEL codes after installing AEM Intake

I installed a AEM intake and my R56 has been consistently throwing P115C and P115D codes. The car will throw these codes while driving, I replaced the BOV from WAY Motors and got a stronger spring from Alta. And that seemed to help a little bit. I also lose boost sometimes when accelerating and experience turbo surge when traveling at highway speeds 70-80mph. I don't want to spend money chasing codes, changing parts that don't need to be replaced. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Hey GEMSTER, cleaning the MAF sensor seemed to help a lot although the sensor didn't appear to be dirty. Car is throwing P115C and P115D upon starting. If I clear the code and attempt to restart the car, the car has some troubles initially remaining running (idling). I have to get it some gas so it will remain running. Once I start driving the car it will idle just fine.

Did you try going back to stock intake.

Mooch, It started throwing codes shortly after I put the AEM intake on. I have on of those OBD2 reader/scanner so I usually reset the code in the morning before i drive to work.

+1 Try going back to stock first.

Do you have a good code reader , if you have this it will read the stored Unit fault codes.

You might just have the intake installed and something is not tight on the intake.

Had that, does not show all the stored codes, only the live ones and sometimes takes 2-3 times to scan to find anything.

So I shouldn't clear the codes for a while? The reader said that the most likely fix was new spark plugs and coil packs. I replaced them about a year and a half ago. Would a tune up grade work?

No , there are codes the actron unit can find and other they can't that are unit specific, ( stored codes ). the schwaben scan tool can find them. Otherwise you will be replacing parts till its fixed, but you ca n go the easy route and do the replacement maintenance.
