R56 How much more $$$ do I need to dump into my 2009 MCS?
Update to my previous list: The transmission is failing (lost first gear over the weekend). So I'll next need a used or remanufactured one to drop in and add to the list of repairs. :(

Knock on wood, my 2009S ( R56 ) had the usual stuff go bad while it was under warranty, but nowhere near the problems you're had though.
I'd have to think hard on that transmission repair too. It's a pretty expensive repair.

And I had just gotten the nav system retrofit finished up, new Koni FSDs last fall, brand new tires this spring, and some EBC Redstuff front pads ready to go on.
The next question for me is likely to be: F54, F55, or used post-2011 R55...?

Ayup. :( My wife even suggested to me tonight that perhaps it's time to cut my losses on it. I'm losing the faith.
And I had just gotten the nav system retrofit finished up, new Koni FSDs last fall, brand new tires this spring, and some EBC Redstuff front pads ready to go on.
The next question for me is likely to be: F54, F55, or used post-2011 R55...?
