2009 R56 JCW...Need some help.
Mini Gurus,
I have a 2009 JCW that I'm having some trouble with and I'm wondering if you can help.
I've never had an ounce of trouble with the car.
I went out to the garage to start it a few days ago and the battery was dead.
I jump started it and drove it to work (5-8 minute drive) and parked and went to work.
That afternoon, when I went out to leave, the battery was dead again. Car would not start.
I got a jump start and went to Advance Auto Parts to get a battery check. The check revealed that the battery needed to be charged, but not necessarily that there was a bad cell in the battery (original battery).
So, I took the car for a long drive (like over an hour) and came home and parked it in the garage.
This morning I went out and started the car and it started up. However, the drivers side window doesn't automatically roll back up when you close the door (leaves a small gap at the top). It will roll up if I use the switch.
What do you gurus think could be wrong?? I'd like to avoid a trip to the dealer if possible...

The window not seating properly can be fixed easily.
Put key fob in slot.
Hold window switch in up position for around 12 secs.
That should reset the window properly.
As far as the battery goes after 7 years it's time for a new one.
