Mini says I need a fwm replacement. Of course they want $2000 to install it. I found one online and was wondering if Mini had to install it. I know it needs to be reprogrammed, but will it work long enough to drive 100 miles to the dealer. I've read countless posts and didnt see this question answered......or I missed it.

If you are close enough we can do it in our shop.

But be careful as we have seen many used footwell modules with water that got in the connectors and damages the pins. I've seen it where just one pin was damaged and rest looked fine so you have to be really careful with a used one.
