R50/53 Mini Cooper hazy tail lights
Mini Cooper hazy tail lights
Found a cure for those hazy tail lights. There is dust on the inside of the lens caused by dust getting in around the bulb sockets as there are no seals
on the sockets.
I removed the tail light assemblies, washed them out with water, shook as much water out of them as I could, then used a hair dryer to blow warm air into them. It took awhile. Then I let them air dry. They look as good as new now!

That's great to hear and glad you didn't need to replace them.

I cleaned mine before and they were still hazy not from dust but from the plastic oxidizing on the inside. Glad all it was , was dust for you. Most of the time its the plastic itself. I just changed and upgraded to the Euro Tail lights
