Tune up filter/plug numbers
I am going to give my mini a tune up and i need to know the correct air filter and spark plug(whats the best brand)numbers, also anything else i should replace on her.
If you are thinking of doing the coils as well, look into our ignition kits HERE. (Plugs are Bosch which are OE and Coils are Genuine). Otherwise if you just want plugs, you can go with the spark plugs we offer HERE. Mahle or Genuine air filter HERE. Check the cabin air filter and see how that looks. Whens the last time you did the fuel filter or any other fluid changes?

I'd then maybe suggest doing your transmission fluid, brake fluid, and do a coolant flush. One often neglected task on many cars is the maintenance of the cooling system. (If this hasn't been done already) Also, maybe the fuel filter as preventive maintenance. Inspect your drive belts for wear. The belts should be free from cracks, fraying, glazing and missing chunks. Replace belts if any of the previously mentioned issues are present or every four years.
Thanks much for the help. I plan on taking her to a local shop for the spark plugs(I probably could do it myself, but i dont want to damage anything) and i will do the cabin filter and air filter myself. Where is the cabin filter? I wont be doing the fuel filter either, i am not much of a mantinace guy. I have not had the intake blasted, how much is it? Cheers Badge from SC

You're very welcome. The cabin air filter is in front of the glovebox underneath the right side of the dashboard. We have a DIY for it to help you. Also have a article with information on carbon clean up if you want to review it as well. I've seen shops quote anywhere from $300 to $900.
