2009 R56 with stock 15 inch rims... will 17's fit?

Does anyone know if there are any issues putting 17 inch mini cooper rims on a non-s mini that came with 15 inch rims? I searched around but wasn't finding much info, thanks!

Should be able to get 17's on there. Here is a picture thread with some 16" and 17" wheels on R56's. Here is another one about 16's vs. 17's.

The stock tire size for many 2009 MCS is 205/45 R17. The suspension is different from the MC but this tire is only 0.3 inch larger in diameter than the stock Justa tire. Seems like it should fit just fine.

I put 16 x-lites on my 2010 non-s and no probs. I don't see why any oem mini wheel wouldn't fit.

Ok, thanks... someone has a set of 17's on craigslist that I am thinking of trying out, they are 4 lug, seems like it would work. They have tpms sensors in them and tires on them, would I need to reset / retrain the tpms or anything?

The sensors will reset themselves as you drive...so long as they are the correct ones for your year. I had to have a valve replaced as it corroded and broke on one of my Spoolers. I had my shop install a rubber one because they had no valves for my car. They gave me the removed sensor and that's how I found the correct part number for my sensors for my year.

There are several 4 lug patterns ... MINI has a 4x100 PCD.

If the wheels are aftermarket you also need to consider the offset and centerbore.

If the wheels are MINI OEM then you only need to reset the TPMS after fitting the wheels.

Yeah, they are 205/45 R17 with hankook ventus on them... asking $1000, is that reasonable?

Honestly, go buy a nice set of rims and tyres of tire rack with a grand. Mini rims are way too overpriced.

You are welcome. Let me know if you are looking for Genuine MINI wheels or NM Engineering wheels. We had some great deal in the past on Genuine MINI wheels , rare but it happens.
