My R56 mods

A couple of you guys have showed interest with my mini and the mods I've done to it. Finished painting my calipers this weekend and added new rotors. Accidentally snapped my brake wear sensor in the process but any way I thought i'd share pics of everything I've done so far.

The following are my mods:
Alta Catback
NM RSe12 18" rims
NM Lowering springs
CF side mirrors
Yakima Roof rack/Faring
Craven Speed Plate relocator
Vintage California Plates
Window tinting
Brakenetic Rotors

Looking good bud. Love the the wheel design, size and offset along with the NM springs. How wide are they and what offset?

Your MINI is super clean! Those wheels really look good on it. The legacy license plate looks great too. Might look good to black out the headlight and taillight chrome pieces too, but it looks good either way! Very nice job.

What size are the wheels? That looks like a perfect size for the car.

That has to be one of the hottest minis i have ever seen. How low is it dropped? Very nice M8.

How did you get rid of the gap in the rear? I have 18" rims too and the gap in the rear on my car is still to big for me. What size tires are you running?

Wow. That ride height is perfect. I'm really in love with those wheels too.

Hi guys the wheels are 18" and I used NM RS-Alpha Springs. The drop measurements are Front: 30mm (1.2") & Rear: 25mm (1.0")

Why do you have this difference in drop?

I prefer drops like that, makes for a more aggressive stance in my opinion. I haven't had any issues with rubbing at all or scraping/bottoming out from hitting bumps or pot holes.

Doesn't having a drop in the back larger than in the front create a vacuum under the car? In theory that should help grip. Anyone have any thoughts on something like that?

Great look. How is the ride on the NM RS-Alpha springs compared to stock?

It's lowered more on the front...

The ride is sooo much better than the stock in my opinion. The car feels smoother and the car doesn't "jerk" dangerously when I drive over bumps level changes on the road.

This jerking thing is annoying me as well and yes it can be dangerous because it happens very suddenly! Ok so lets say that the NM springs improve this issue, what is there to lose when comparing with the stock springs?

Good God that is a beautiful R56. Well done, tasteful, and looks perfect in my opinion. I have got to get a Yakima set up for mine, too.

Again, great looking R56! You've done a great job so far.
