Aux port loose/broken

My aux port has stopped working properly. It may just be case of pins being bent, but I've been looking around for a replacement and have not been able to find one that seems like it'll fit.

I'm also getting the impression that if I wanted to replace the aux/usb module, I'll have to take off the entire dashboard fascia.

Anyone here ever replace one of these?

What aux port do you have? I believe you can just pop it out and pop in a new one without taking apart the dash. If you give me your vin I can look up the correct part number as there are a few different ones. #1 below is USB socket 84109230248, #2 is AUX-IN socket 84109229293, #3 is USB/AUX-IN socket 84109229246, #4 is USB/AUX-IN socket 84109229247, #5 is USB/AV-IN socket 84109229242. As some look the same there are some internal and differences so if you can pop out the old one and give me the part number or your last 7 digits of your vin I can look up the proper one for your vehicle. Try using a flat head screw driver to help you depress the tab that holds it into place so you can push it out.

I popped it out, looks like it's #3. Man that thing was a royal pain to get out! I gauged the surround so much it looks like a pack of monkeys got it out with rocks!

I've ordered the part, once it gets here I'll let you know if it works!

How do you pop it out? I've tried to wedge it out but it doesn't budge, and I don't see any place to get leverage to pop it out.

There are two retaining clips on the back side. The only time I have taken mine out, I had the whole console apart so it was easy. Taking the whole console apart is a job in itself. I did it since I replaced the stock radio with an Android Headunit. I bought an aftermarket Aux port so it had the correct connections to my headunit.
