Looking to get a Catback for my '12!
I have looked extensively and think I have narrowed it down to the AFE machpower and the CNT "Racing Version 2" Catback.
However I may be persuaded to consider others or even a full exhaust!
Any suggestions?

I have the CNT and I am very happy with it. I bought better clamps and shorter hangers for the front section. sounds great and is holding up fantastically!

How is the droning at higher speeds (if any at all)?
Also were the original clamps and hangers holding the CNT to low?
Where'd you get these clamps and hangers from?

I looked at the CNT, but decided against it after hearing an r56 with a CNT in person. I went with the invidia q300. Love it, sounds great from the outside, and subtle on the inside of you want it to be.

My advice is try to find some local NAM members to hear their setups first.

What's a good forum/subforum to look for locals?

I have no drone with mine. in fact, its a little too quiet for my taste but I can listen to the radio and talk on the phone all just fine. my wife and kids have never complained of it being loud.

The CNT is a copy of the invidia q300.

shorter front hangers take care of the rattling on the center brace that all the 3 piece exhausts have. I don't use any spacers on my brace and it doesn't rattle at all. I bought the hangars and clamps at a local car parts store (O'Reillys or Autozone).

The CNT is a 2.25 inch diameter exhaust, right? Isn't the Invidia a 2.5?

From what I've read, if you're looking for tuning options and whatnot down the road, go w/ 2.5".
