Anyways, I set it to 70% and let it adjust for 60 miles. I just did a fast run and got a max of 16.24 psi , so it's definitely doing something as I think stock is somewhere around 14.5–15 psi. I can also feel it pull harder, especially in the 4K+ RPM range.

I going to do the hot side boost muffler delete which I've read reduces the intake temp a good bit and then I'll turn the JB+ to 80% and see how things go.

No CEL so far. Cheers!
So, did you keep yours at 70%?
I thinking on leaving mine at that setting too. No problems so far.

Cheers

I still have it at 70%, but I haven't installed the hot side muffler delete tube yet. Also, I found a 76 station close by that sells both 100 octane and the normal california octanes (87,89,91) so i thought maybe I'd get a 93 octane mixture and crank it to 100%.

I'll let you know when that happens and the results.

Has anyone with the Burger Motorsports N18 JB+ noticed a mileage change after installation?

Mileage is only mildly affected, depending on how you drive. The power gain is greater than the mpg tax.

Thanks! I use my Paceman as a Winter car and all-weather trip car to keep miles off my lightly modded M3, but I wanted something to set my Mini apart from crowd. The JB+ seems to be the answer.

Since this picture, I've added Mini's Chrome LED driving lights. Highly recommended.

Blizzaks and dedicated winter rims.

...and of course, here's a gratuitous pic of the M3.

I put my JB plus on about three weeks ago and noticed a difference right away. I bought it new after having my car for about a week. I am taking it off this week to put on a manic tune by Mario! Gonna sell this one if anyone is interestEd

Nice! If you wanna go down a rabbit hole with that All4 a manic tune is in your future Because more (traction) is better

I've noticed virtually no difference but it depends on your driving style. The car's computer averages around 31mpg which is unchanged form before the JB+

Even if there was a slight mileage drop its still worth it. The main power gain, as others have said, is at higher RPMs where the stock tune would taper off. Pulls to redline with authority

I like the responsiveness that the JB+ has given my Paceman; it has transformed the car... and on a recent 270 mile trip averaging 76 mph, I averaged 30.5 mpg. This is a superb device.

Will the JB+ tune add to the JCW tuning kit ECU tune on my R56 S?

car has the ecu tune and the full jcw exhaust.

Hi Zackattack28.
Yes. Look on the Burgertunes w/s for application details. It enhances all N18s...MCS, JCW and GP.

JB+ gift

I received JB+ piggyback ECU Tune N18 by burgertuning for Christmas but D.B. is down and out. He is in for service and in addition to the new Clutch, 100k service, water pump, VANOS solenoid work , it looks like he needs a new turbo. Will the JB+ work with an aftermarket turbo?

BTW, I bought him used in NJ with over 40k and am pretty sure the "damage" was done before I got him.

thanks.
Jenn

Better Alternatives

Was interested in the JB+ until I saw the price tag - $300 ouch! I did some digging and found a similar quick connect tuner made in the USA by a company protuningusa.
It was close to half the cost of the JB+, has no dials to fool with and provided INSTANT improvement on my Mini 2L turbo. Thought I would provide this to others looking for a more cost effective solution. Very happy with the price and results!!!

The JB plus is very tame. You will not have any issues. If you have done some hardware upgrades like the intake and exhaust and so forth, the extra boost and re-map the JB ads will definitely take advantage of those. But if all of the aftermarket mods have already been added, just call Mario kart and do an RPM tune. Stage two will make your R 56 scoot! My son has that on his and I still have manic on mine which my daughter will inherit next year. So I will just change the map while she is learning and then give her the power as she progresses driving.
