The cover to my armrest came off...

Took my 2014 Coupe to a carwash yesterday, and upon leaving I noticed some bozo had somehow gotten the sliding cover to come off, and broke a little tab off. I glued that on but am unsure how to get it sliding back on there. Does it start in the back end sliding forward? It's not real intuitive. Thanks in advance.

Starts and clips on the back, both side pegs ( longer ones ) into the back . Then snap the front down ( smaller pegs ) and slides forward.

Thanks! I notice a rectangular metal clip thing sticking up at the back of the armrest (not the cover), do I have to do anything with that before sliding the cover forward from the back?

I still can't get it on there. I stick the bigger peg in the slot at the back but it won't slide forward. I don't wanna force it and break it. And that tab sticking up at the very back, I just ignore that thing? Thanks for your help. This thing just isn't very intuitive for a simple cover.

Its hard to get back in , start one rear peg then the other to that rear slot while applying pressure to the peg.

you have to compress the pegs to sit in both rails or it won't work....after sitting first peg in then press in the other one so it will get into the rail. it takes a little pressure.

Do you first insert both pegs into the vertical slot at the back, then compress, or start anywhere you want in the rails? These are the more prominent pegs I assume, the ones you compress.

You can but it is easier to just put one peg in first then compress the other one to get it into it's rail.

One side , clip down, then the other side. Then shut down the front clips.

and you should do this at the very back of the armrest because there is also a second track above that one ...these pegs slide in the lowest track.

Got it, thanks a million! You do have to squeeze the pegs together until it pops in, and sort of shove the front end down to get the upper set to pop in. That's the last time I take it to a freaking car wash.

Nice, yea it takes a little force to put it back in. If people bust those back tabs off from sitting down and putting there arm back too hard.
