looks good, grey with black arches. other colored MINI's look much better uniformly painted, like my midnight black, or pepper white looks amazing in full painted finish.

 

I just got a message from MINI saying my Order was cancelled.

"We apologize but item(s) you have ordered are not available. Please contact us if you have any questions."

 

I have a 2013 and bought a 2010 kit. I will make it work, from what I can see I might need a different bumper rail or might have a little bug to sort with the brake air ducts.
Regardless worst case scenario I have to buy a $220 bumper rail. Peanuts compared to the thousands that I saved.

 

I agree, I like it paint matched on every color except Dark Silver Just figures that's the one I have.

They will in a few years. They typically have "fire sales" on full kits after the cars get to a certain age. The R53 kits went on fire sale about 5 years ago.

We jumped on the sale and ordered 3 kits and snagged what we could. Ecstuning looks like they are sitting on a few but you'll be paying for shipping but still a great deal.

We have been quoted $1300 locally to have a complete kit painted. I know someone inquired earlier.

 

I wonder why it cost that much more for the PDC.

 

well, thanks to this thread, I went ahead and ordered the kit even though I have a 2013 (ECS has the bumper support kit for under $300 and it includes the necessary taillights). Assuming my order actually goes through, I'll order the upgrade kit from ECS and rent a Home Depot truck to go pick it up from the dealer... I figure worst case scenario (besides them outright canceling the order) would be if I have to buy a 2013 bumper cover and trim kit for another $500 or so, but a huge plus is that the rest of this Blackband kit should fit my 2013 just fine! Thanks majorly for pointing this out - I actually JUST received my class-action settlement check from my blown CVT MINI, which I had planned since submitting my form in April would go towards the JCW Aerokit for my new MINI.

 

How do these work with the 2011? Does it omit the brake ducts?

 

As far as I can tell mine is on the way as of Wed. What I was told was that Mini made these Blackband kits and they didn't sell, so they are blowing them out. What I have coming is all in primer. I was planning on getting just the Aero then prepping to paint the trim black. Heck, I have a set of prepped fender trim waiting that I picked up from another member. My car is BRG and I like the contrast. I don't know when I'll get it installed. I want a BBK and new wheels at the time of install. I'm also having the hood repainted and other blems fixed. The only thing I'm not sure if I'm going to like the black trim around the grills. I'll try to post some pictures of what all comes in the kit when it comes in.


Edit* I just looked on the ECS website and it says the kit that I got is no longer available.

 

Just ordered mine. Got an email saying within 48hrs I will know if my order is accepted.

 

Just ordered a kit for my 2008 Cooper. I'm in shock! Can't believe I've been watching this kit for $3200 and I just bought it for $194.

 

It's down to 194?!!

 

It showed $199, then when it linked me to Mini of Morristown here in NJ, it showed my price as $194. Unreal!

 

So I wasn't sure how you guys were getting your pricing when it said showed $2xxx but once I switched the dropdown to "no PDC" I realized what was going on there. I ordered a kit for ***** and giggles. It's $3xx, not a big deal.

 

+1 I didn't see anything regarding the JCW side skirts only. Would love to get what I originally planned for... for cheap!

 

Heck buy thw whole kit and in a few months once these all sellout you'll easily sell the 2 bumpers for more then you have in the whole kit and then the side skirts are FREE....

Did they email you right away shooting you down? I ordered on Saturday. So far just an email saying the order has been submitted. They linked me with a dealer in Rhode Island.

 

Are you guys doing shipped to buyer or pickup? I wouldn't mind picking up from my local dealer, but not from some dealer in Long Island.

 

The Rhode Island dealer was the one that shot me down first That was on Friday. I tried another dealer. They cancelled my order and said it was No Longer Available. (NLA)
