OIL LEAK - Oil Pressure Switch replacing

Hi everyone ,

I have apparently an oil leak from the oil pressure switch. I am going to replace it... Can I just unscrew it and then screw the new one on as simple as this ?

Thanks.
Georgia is in trouble

You have to be more specific. Are you talking about the oil solenoid at the bottom of the engine that always leaks?

^^^^

We need more info like year, model and engine. There are many different engines from 2007-2013, this is the reason why nobody bothered replying.

Good morning guys,

Sorry for not being specific. Georgia is a 2007 mini Cooper justa with the N12. The oil pressure switch is the plug screwed in at the top of the engine, driver side. I called the dealer (parts) yesterday and he

I called the dealer (parts) yesterday and he told me that I could just unscrew it and put the new one back.

Thanks!

I'm confused as to why you haven't replaced it with the new one yet?

Hey guys,

I haven't replaced it yet, the part hasn't arrived at home yet. I'll let you all know as soon as I will do it.

The leak is actually from the cable (brown) coming out of the sensor. It is leaking around.

Old thread but it was definitely the oil pressure sensor that was leaking! Replaced it and now prefect.

I had to get the engine cleaned though.
