Red exclamation point

Red exclamation point came on while on the way to work this morning.

The brake indicator has came on in the past because my rear pads need to be replaced. No big deal, I'll do those myself.

Anyone know what the red exclamation point means?

I've done searching but no clear insight. I'm thinking maybe a run flat issue?

Yeap, TMPS, just add air and reset your sensors (that should be in your Owners Manual)

Motor on!

That's not just an exclamation mark, that means something different. Its in the outline of a cross section of a tire, if you didn't realize what its trying to tell you.

What year is your MINI? Later models actually have a little icon to point to the corner which is causing the issue.

i had the exact same icon but in orange and not red. i checked the tire pressure and the front driver side is a little low but not to warrant an alert. i am due for a tire rotation tomorrow and will discuss this with my tire guy.

hope it doesn't lead to replacing any of the tpms'.

It's an 07. Checked all the tires and they are at 35 psi. Not sure what's going on..

got back from the tire shop.. everything checked out okay. no more exclamation point icon. let's see how long this would last. had all 4 tires at 38 psi.

one tire/wheel had a leak. had to bring up to par twice in the last 1K miles. it went as low as 20 psi.

20 psi that might explain the red warning light, it's one thing to have a yellow light indicating a front tire pressure difference between both tires. It must have sensed that you were extremely low on one side, this would expain the red light. You had a leak and your Mini knew that.

will it a faulty tpms sensor or flat battery of the sensor? 8 years on those tpms sensors, sounds a lot to me
