Hey everyone, so I have been having some trouble figuring out some paint matching accents and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or has done something similar to what I have in mind.

Vehicle-2008 Mini Cooper S

Color-Charcoal/Metalic Grey

Interior-Redwood Leather Option

The rims that I ordered, have a red pin stripe, now after much debate I see now that the redwood interior is not exactly red, more of a red orange. I was wanting to paint my mini Matte Black (with red accents) to match the wheels, but will this be thrown off by my interior color? Or should I try and color match my pin stripe on the wheels to my interior red wood color, and use the redwood color for accenting the matte black finish? Or vice versa? (Red wood paint job, with matte black accents) Any input is appreciated I cannot post pictures of my car, I am currently deployed but will be home soon and am trying to get everything figured out. I can however link a picture of the rims I have ordered, and im sure any of you can find some stock photos of my color mini and the red wood interior. Thanks

I don't know. You should do what you think would look best.

 

 

It's been awhile since I've seen a redwood leather interior in person, but I'd think it should go fine with black exterior since most of the interior is black as well. IIRC it won't clash with the red stripe on the wheels, either. If you want to do something with the interior, maybe see if Redline Goods can match the leather color for a few accent pieces, but don't go overboard as it'd be easy to do too much.

I wouldn't paint the car matte black unless it's something like an insurance write off that you're fixing up for fun because your family owns a body shop... Otherwise just do a vinyl wrap and you won't kill the value of the car.

BTW: your 2008 is Dark Silver Metallic, should you want to search for info or pics. There's a Dark Silver thread somewhere around that should have lots of pics of different takes on the theme.
