You can learn an awful lot about driving and going faster with the setup you already have vs. dropping another $1K + labor to install entry-level coilovers. I can guarantee that you can find 5x more time through experience and learning to drive your car as-is, then by throwing money at it.

Take your time, see what other fast guys at your autoX's are running, and understand why!

w.r.t. buying coil-overs - please don't jump at a set just because it has some cheapo camber plates included. Do your homework, and if necessary, buy a set of separate quality camber plates and coil-overs (Koni, KW, Bilstein, JRZ, Ohlins, etc)! You may end up spending a bit more in the end, but both the street and autoX handling will be infinitely better than what you will get from something on clearance sale that has a word "coilover" in the name.

Well, I'm going to be selling many stock parts to pay for the parts, and labor isn't an issue since I do all my own work. Hell, I made a turboback exhaust from scratch, and will be making some adjustable end links out of titanium, since I have access to a full machine shop. The H&R springs I just installed, are a little too soft compared to the fJCW springs. I'm also going to a 235/40/17 tire, so I NEED as much camber as possible, and spending $300+ on camber plates with soft springs wouldn't be very cost effective. The 205/45/17 AD08s are not up to the task of handling 240 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. I appreciate your input, however.
There was a base cooper with the exact same wheel and tire setup as me, but he was in HS, and beat me by 2 seconds, hah! But, I feel it's because he could carry way more speed, while accelerating. I did also do research on the BC coilovers, and they seem to be the best bang-for-the-buck. Not to mention, I'm in STX so my competition is extremely stiff. My biggest problem with auto-x (other than grip) is remembering the damn course!
