The Gen 2 R56+ JCW factory gear shift light has been NLA'd . The Hardtop version and the convertible version are both NLA.

Here is the install PDF for the Gen2 JCW gauges that are NLA.

Click Here ::

The Version for the Gen 1 MINIs R50 R52 R53 is still available and I know people put the Gen 2 JCW gear shift light in a Gen 1 , so its possible to put a Gen 1 version into a Gen 2 . Possible you could mount the Gen 1 on the Gen 2 right on the tach cover or mount it on the dash pad ?

There is a black surround versions and a silver top version. 62130410113 & 62130410114

JCW Shift Light

As a JCW substitute, I mounted a competition shift light to the steering column in front of the tach's line of sight.

Hey, what is the piece that it is mounted to? Is that something you made up or bought?

My JCW Shift Light is malfunctioning. It seems to be acting like there might be a short as it does what it's supposed to do when I start the car frequently while driving. It works properly in response to RPMs it just seems to restart on it's own.

Has anyone had this issue?

Check the install guide linked above for the gen 2 ones ( has a simple wire diagram ), also check the dip switch and I would reclick it into place. Never heard of that issue.

Check the battery also in your MINI.

Good luck.
