Is there a way to receive an audible alert while locking the doors with remote? I have a '13 Justa without the factory alarm system. Thanks for your advice.

I think the beep is coming from the alarm siren.

Anything is possible. You could add a relay and a siren, (or a pezio buzzer), tied to the parking lights.

I took a pezio alarm and tapped into the 12v+ wire on the gas cap locking mechanism - it only locks when the car is locked, so that's a good power source. I put it in behind the drivers side taillight, and my only complaint is that it's not as loud as I'd like.

Not trying to be a jerk but every time I see this kind of thread I wonder, why? The limited distance of the remote means you are usually within earshot of the loud clunk associated with the lock or the whirl of the unlock. Or if I have ambient noise around and I can't hear it I can always see the lights flash. I'm just glad we are one less car on the road that doesn't do an annoying beep or honk upon lock. Why people do that is beyond me.

Says the guy with a train horn? Sorry haha. I find sometimes if I forget to lock it when I'm really close, I can't hear the click of the locks. If it's bright out, or I'm side on to the car, it's hard to see the lights flash - It's just easier for me to listen for a sound I know is mine.

i wish the lights would flash every time i locked it - not just the first time lol. kinda OCD like that, so sometimes i lock it and then later i don't remember if i locked it or not, but when u go to lock it after it's already been locked it doesn't do anything except a very light locking noise

Yeah, the parking lot beeps and honks are annoying, but my horn is obnoxious. Usually reserved for immature moments or to alert others of their wrong doing

Technically they do. If the car is unlocked and you lock it, they flash. If you "re-lock" it it is already locked and therefore doesn't confirm the locked state and it turns the dome lights on for a few seconds. Not normal to other cars but I understand why its done like that.
