R56 Justa reliability ?

Glad the car was still drivable. My 2011 Justa has 68K miles now. The major repair was a solenoid leak that requires the engine harness replaced. No other problems that impacts driveability. I did a few mods here and there but it was great when completely stock. With MT and modified intake, my computer mpg says 41.4.

I'd love to think they exist. Gotta say, winter is beating me down and I hate to think what the salt is doing to the car (esp. the electrical connectors) in the long run.
I could use some good news about the stoutness of the R56 Justa as well.

I can add a little optimism to this thread too. My N12,. Naturally aspirated, Straight Cooper Clubman is over six years old. Yes,
It makes some strange noises sometimes, and I worry a bit about the eventual health of the timing chain, but she hasn't had any issues outside of the thermostat housing, which failed after warranty and cost me over $400 to fix. She uses less than a half quart in 5000 miles. I change it twice a year, usually with less than 5000 miles on the old oil. Full synthetic, of course. I keep it as close to new as I can, so it feels and looks new to me and to observers who ask about it. It helps that the Mini lives indoors most of the time, in a heated garage that is also my office and man cave. She gets a vacuum daily! The Mini just turned 60,000. I have the miles now set to read in kilometers so I can see it turn 100k next month. I plan on seeing it turn the more substantial 100k in a few years. I may follow the suggestion given by some to have my timing chain slack measured and have my Mini dealer on board with me in case it ever fails. I do all my servicing at a local garage, being 3 hours away from a Mini dealer.
So, here's to the 100,000 mile club, I need to keep this car!

I have a 2011 Justa with just over 35,000 miles and have had no issues at all. It has been the most maintenance-free car I've ever had. All I have done is the maintenance per the counter (or oil change at least once a year). Since it is leased and that expires this year, I'm trying to get a 2013 Justa (or possibly clubman) before they all disappear or I may just buy out my lease if not and wait as I'm not a fan of the 2014 Justa 'justa' yet

I've got a little over 85k on my 2008 Justa and it's been extremely reliable. I bought it brand new off the lot. Only issues was a faulty thermostat sensor (I replaced it myself) and a timing tensioner which I did have the dealership repair (cost 250). Other than that as long as you take care of it (I change the oil at 5k religiously) it should be okay.

I've not purchased the car, thinking about it though it's a hard sell with all those prius's going 400k miles and getting 50mpg vs the justa's high 30's and no where near as high a reliability track record

(And this from a weirdo who drives specifically to get fuel economy from his MINI!)

"I was thinking about a bacon cheeseburger but that tofu brick is looking pretty attractive... "
If you get the Prius please at least stay out of the way on the highway... It's not other people's fault if you buy the thing - not right to make them suffer too.

42k is brand new, when it has 242k I'll be impressed like my 528i, or 280k like my old 325i then post again
I picked up a justa last week, silver 2009 with 48k miles, I drive 30k a year so it'll rack them up fast
only complaint, over 65mph the mileage drops pretty fast, going 75 pushes it down to 36
