Key fob replacement

I seem to have misplaced one of my key fob transmitters. Anyone have an idea what the damage is for a new one including coding and cutting? Without comfort access.
I am taking a wild guess and saying $150 at least.

This my 59th new car and the first time this has happened. To bad it was not back in the day of just a regular old key and the local hardware store could fix you up for a couple of dollars.
Thanks

If you need the key and remote then your closer to $200. Good thing you don't have comfort access or you would be approx $140 more for programming. Your dealer will require a copy of your title or current registration and a copy of the drivers license for the registered owner. Keys typically take 2 days to get from BMW/Mini, for the next week I would allow another day with the recent holidays

Holy cow, how often do you get a new car? I'm 40 and have only bought one new car.

There isn't a picture of the Key Fob on your website. Mine is a 2004 Mini Cooper S, will this one fit?
Thanks

If it is a 04 you should have the fob with metal key blade. It should be number number 6 in the pic. The part number 66126931749 and list 123.46 shipped.

KEy Questions

Couple of questions:

1 Will it come with instructions on how to program it to my car?

2 Who will I have to get to cut it? Will it be the dealership, or can a locksmith do it?

They are cut by Mini using the vin number of the vehicle when ordered. They would have to be programed by a Dealership in order for the remote functions to work.
