Mini tune r56

Hey guys ive done simple stuff to my '13 Mini Cooper S. intake downpipe catback and of course the infamous CEL is on. I have been wanting to get the mini tuned for a while now but im having a hard time finding a place that does minis. if anyone knows a shop in New Jersey that can tune minis or any good recommendations it would be a great help, thanks in advance!

To tune a '13 the ecu must be removed....no odb tuning for the newer motors...that's why so few do it...

If you are in South Jersey these guys look promising. They are the only ones in my area. http://www.minirepairshops.com/new-j...motorwerke-inc

I have not used them because my car is under warranty. There seem to be more choices in North Jersey (use Google).

I wish i could recommend them personally but i will be following this thread with interest.

There's BMS and their tune is a plug and play for $300(20whp & 30+wtq). Can tool can delete the CEL for you too, it's like $125 I believe.

Depending on the brand and type of the the donwpipe you have chosen to install, the CEL may be inevitable. Did you DIY the install, or have someone do it for you? If the latter, what shop?

Depending on what part of NJ you are in, consider one of the following:
Shore: www.bodymotion.com
South: www.vacmotorsports.com
North: www.shadetreegarage.com

Some of the above may be better at some aspects of race/street car development than others. Call around, or ping me offline to discuss.

You may be out of luck with N18 engine, as few tuners have invested resources into developing products for the last-in-line iteration of Peugeot Prince engine series in the MINI. Others will chime in with the name and feedback for a few in-line dongles available in the market.

To the guys that recommended the BMS, do you guys have it/ are you happy with it. its prolly the cheaper route even if I get the can tool with it so Im liking that option, but is it worth it?

I also just checked out bodymotion.com, there place isn't too far from me and it looks like they definitely have experience working on MCs. ill prolly stop by there sometime in the near future, thanks for the recommendation.

I have it (stock 12 Hardtop S auto) and I can't recommend it enough. Very high bang for the buck. CAN tool is optional but will help with the DP code that keeps getting thrown.
