s0ph34k, you're a braver man than I am. My JCW stays in the garage when it's really nasty outside. To me it's not worth the risk when I can putt around in my gf's 2007 Montero Sport w/ 240K on the odometer.
We had sleet and freezing rain Thursday evening here in West TX. On Friday the roads were a complete mess. It was around 20 F last night, and tonight as I type this it's 24 F. Tomorrow the high is 46 F, so I'll drop my new aFe dry panel filter in and enjoy the new JB+ for a little while.
Just got home from a 2 hour trip which was normally 45 minutes. devicemanager, I am not a brave man anymore after tonight, car spun out twice and I kept a straight line and was only going 20mph. Sport suspension on our minis was horrible, I felt every single bump of ice.
Its -10 degrees in Montana now was -25 below this morning. Snowed a little yesterday. Have allseason tires on 05 JCW. Think I will wait to drive untill it gets up to 30 above later this week.
Run Flats suck! I've only had my car for 1.5 months We got 4" snow last night. The Blue Meanie is not happy about it, especially in 1st gear. What are the best snow tires for the '05 MCS?

When mini's r53's were shipped new...the option was 16 all seasons (r84's usually) or a selection of 17' as options... Most were summer ONLY ( in the 17's)....all runflats. So check the tires...while the oem runflats usually only lasted 30,000 miles or so...some folks did put the same back on...90% of folks it seems got regular tires....
