New To Me GOODWOOD!

Been a long time lurker, but have never actually pulled the trigger on a MINI. That all ended yesterday when I purchased a 2012 Goodwood. I had never even seen one in real life and thought that they were way over the top for a mini. I saw that there was one for sale close to me for a reasonable price from a private party. Once i drove it, I was immediately sold. I picked it up last night and am IN LOVE! I still have no idea how to work anything in the car. The owner did a few nice things to it to make it even better than stock. I look forward to many years with this and YES, It will be my daily driver, I don't buy cars to look at them. Will post photos soon!

I just want to take off my shoes and sink my toes into the carpet! It looks like it's 2 feet deep!

The floormats are kind of ridiculous, but yes super nice on bare feet. Got rubber ones for daily use!

Welcome to the Goodwood club. There are a few of us on this forum. My Goodwood isn't a daily driver I have a JCW Clubman for that.

Thanks. Id love to see others, but I know there aren't many around. Have you done any modifications to yours or do people pretty much leave these alone?

Try a search for Goodwood on this forum there are a couple posts with pictures. I am in Australia and we only got 10 Goodwoods here.

Mod's... The only thing I have done is fit a JCW Strut Brace. There is one manual I know of that has had JCW brakes and a JCW tune and JCW wheels because the Brembo brakes wont fit inside the Goodwood wheels.

Trying to post photos, but it isn't cooperating with me. I was able to upload one to my gallery though.

Really like your MINI Goodwood photos.

I re-posted this one. Nice shot. Those wool ( cornsilk ) carpets feel really nice in person.

Our Goodwood gets driven but it isn't a daily driver. It goes on club runs and it gets driven hard.

I guess the problem with driving these (I've put 6000 miles on it since December) is that there is the inevitable ding here and there. I was crusin down the highway and a golf ball came out of nowhere and bounced off the front of my hood leaving a nice dent and some scratches. I'm not too happy about it. I wish it would have hit the windshield.

We have been lucky with the Goodwood some very minor chips that you can only notice if you know where to look. It has only done 4000klm That's around 2500 miles.
