Oh geez, I'm so sorry to hear. My turbo is laboring right now, so it'll come out this weekend and get fixed up.

Here's a JCW from my buddy's MINI and mine. In the process, the internals will be upgraded to a K04, so I'm going from an E45HP to an E45R, which Arric says will give me even better performance. And then I have address this pesky vacuum leak that I've had for a long time now too....

Good luck with the new toy! Glad the MINI will be sticking around too. Lots of fun with both options I'm sure.

Thanks for the tips last year. Sorry I became 'one of those' a bit with the exhaust questions then no pics to show, but it hasn't been dropped trust me. :D New business comes first, then the exhaust and more fun stuff.

Keep us posted on the new ride now & then!

No, not a stupid question. I have a new set of arches, had them fill in the side markers to essentially be euro arches, and then painted in body color which in my case is Midnight Black.

They have to get prepped for primer and then get painted, but it can be done. Not very complicated at all. Good luck.

Does he accept extra side work? I have some headlight rings that would look better body matched.

Wait a minute didn't you just buy new wheels already? The anodized red inserts with chrome wheels?

Yeah, but you didn't think the M3 would sit on stockies did you?

I'll likely rock these wheels for a few months and order some BBS FI. Haven't completely decided though!!

Upkeep day.

Turbo out and cleaned up the intercooler and condenser because they were just caked with dirt and mud where oil just allowed the dirt to stick. So really blasted the bits and now looks better.

You can see where the gases leakage occurs with the black interior.

I don't but the F80 to me just looks more aggressive in 4-guise than its 2 door counterpart.

In addition I just wanted shorter doors this time than having to swing a larger door.

ah I do agree it seems like the two extra doors fits it better plus it's gotta make life a bit easier loading and unloading things

this may be a loaded question but what are your plans for it?

Well, when I grab my bag and go to work, I always throw it on the passenger side seat. I rarely ever use back seats and when lowered, I try to never let anyone back there.

Plans? Eh, it's a lease, so I'll primarily just work on exterior stuff. Nothing special. She's already got plenty of power as is and drive phenomenal so I'll keep this one pretty simple. Nothing too crazy. Drop, wheels, exterior add-ons, probably exhaust at some point, maybe a CAE shifter in there. Wife and I are both getting separate M3's when the lease is up, so that'll be the keeper, this one just holds me over

Why do anything to a leased car. I don't understand ? Maybe repairs to prevent the dealer from taking advantage of you. But why do performance mods ? You'll never own the car unless you pay at end of the lease.

Because it's a hobby. I can tinker and have the right people to help me, so it's not like I'm not capable of returning it back to stock either when all is said and done. Many lease and mod, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I 100% agree I have done it unfortunately I get bored of cars and swap so leases work best I just never sell the stock parts

When the lease is over I'll special order another M so it's no big deal to me. And the wife wants her own M3 when her lease is over too so our CA is going to love us.
