I was plugging in a new AUX cable the other day and discovered these two ***** (pins). For the life of me I can not figure out what they are for.

 

I always wondered this too...it makes it seem like there's something missing.

 

A hundred views and no one knows.

 

Could they just be screw covers?

 

Put Cd's on top of them.

yep CD prop - that's the best purpose anyone has come up with. The opening width there is just perfect for a CD case, and the two buttons keep the edge up pointing towards you so you can easily pull one out or read it.

They also perfectly hold in the little rubber tray you can buy to turn that cubby hole into something useful for things other than CD's
