Quick Opinion - Challenge or Webspokes

I have a Laser Blue/Black MCS with Challenge Spokes. I like the chrome on the car and the color combination. I'm pretty happy with the Challenge spokes, but have always liked the webspokes. I don't know if the silver brushed lip on the webspokes would be a nice accent, or if they would look too busy on the car.

I pirated a picture from an old thread by Orangecrush with webspokes. Apologies, but it was a good pic of a laser blue car.

Whaddya Think?

Mike

Edit: I like OEM wheels, please don't lecture me about buying lighter aftermarket wheels.

I just meant that the webspokes have a lip on them that is not painted. It is machined and clear coated. Not into chrome wheels, I just meant that I like the chrome around the grille and tail lights. Lotsa people like to remove chrome.

Challenge Wheels look great, unless you are going to do something custom with the web-spokes , some guys have separated the web-spokes , wheel face from barrel to do a custom paint job and polish the lip.

Good luck on whatever you do.

Those black challenge wheels do look great BTW.

I actually like the web spokes better, but just my $.02. I like the look of a well executed 2-piece wheel and the web spokes area a good example of this straight from the factory.

Another vote for the webspokes. I'm sorry the other wheels are truly challenged, lol.

Being 2 piece doesn't make the web spokes any better looking... Stick with the challenge spokes! Or, you could look for a nice light set of aftermar...oh, nevermind. ;-)

Challenge spokes, I think they are the best rims MINI offers. Although the web spokes would be my second choice for oem rims.

FWIW: I went with a set of Challenge on my 07, sold the webs. I like them both, but the Challenge wheels are my pick.

R98 17 inch webspokes

I have the webspokes on my 08 Dark Silver MCS. I like the look compared to chrome. The brushed lip gives it a racy look with the studs. I have the chrome trim and chose not to black out my car. I did paint the plastic trim on my car to match the body and that looks great.
Here is a link to my website where I have the pics. Painting the trim does more for the looks than changing rims. Probably cost the same.
