Half power warning light

Hello. This morning was a balmy 28* after a faily large snow/sleet storm, I did not drive the car for two days. I started it up this AM, let it idle to clear the snow off the car and all seems fine.

I put it in reverse(6MT) and had to do some wheel spinning to get it out, it caught ground and stalled since the rpms were too low by my fault. The half power lamp came on in the tach, no lights in the speedo cluster, no CEL. The half power thing didn't have any text message with it. Anyway, I started it back up and it runs and drives perfect, seems normal on power. Light is still on, by the time I arrived at my destination it was only about a 10min drive so the car didn't fully warm. I'm going to unscrew and retighten the gas cap when I get back to the car. Do these lights typically go away on their own if the fault was a "glitch" of some sort or do I need to go somewhere for a reset. I will take it to the dealer if the light does not go out/needs to be reset. Car is a '11 MCS 6MT, 14,500 miles. thanks

Are you talking about the engine half filled logo? If so, they usually go away on their own if the issue is fixed(for example if it's a glitch or you had a boost cut due to sudden boost spike). However, if the issue is constant, it will stay lit(for example when my wastegate wire was cut). It went away the moment the wastegate wire was reconnected.

Interesting. I did shut the car off and restart, sign still there when getting coffee. The car never really warmed up, and was only driven for maybe 10min...perhaps not enough time. I thought about the frost and cold temps, maybe causing some issue. I will see when I get back to the train station where it's parked. The rotors were frozen as when I reversed I heard the icing break loose. It's interesting that these codes can't be read with a scanner, it's a proprietary error code for mini's. I was manhandling the accel pedal and clutch to get it out of the snow spot, probably didn't like me very much. It's probably trying to tell me- "U WUT M8?"

So I got back to my car, removed gas cap, saw some water along the seal. Perhaps there was some icing there causing a poor seal this AM. Its now warmer out and things are melted. Light went off a split second after startup. Interesting.
