Where to get oil drain plug ring/washer?

I'm planning to do an oil change on my wife's 08 justa for the first time. Where can I get the oil drain plug washer/ring? I've seen them online for $5-10 each, which is ridiculous when I'm used to paying $1 each (as part of a 5-10 pack) for my Toyota and Mazda. I plan on using a MANN filter (http://www.amazon.com/Mann-Filter-HU.../dp/B001DRLPOY). Thanks.

Edit: This is the best deal I found for $2.22 shipped.

I don't know what the year of your Mini is, but for gen-2 if you buy the Mini filters they come with it along with the o-ring for the filter housing.

any auto part store!

all you need to know is the size - they have all sorts of soft seals like this

inner diam' is 16mm and width of the ring 3mm on one I just measured from an OE filter kit.

perhaps I should just get the OEM filter and not worry about this mess. just to clarify there are 3 rings associated with the oil change process?
  1. metal washer for drain plug
  2. large rubber ring for oil filter housing
  3. small rubber ring for filter/housing

no

OE kit will have 3 pieces

1 - filter
2 - o-ring for the canister that the filter fits in
3 - seal for the bung

Honestly just but the OEM. I get OEM filter and oil both for less than anything at autozone from my dealership.

Worth it IMO

MANN is not bad at all just FYI. I run that on my BMW and they are good to go. OEM is a great choice also and comes with everything you need. The only thing I would like to suggest is this,

I had good experience with Mann filters on my previous VWs and Audi. Perhaps the MANN filter will come with the washer. One reviewer in Amazon wrote it did but another wrote it didn't.

Edit: Mini Mania sells the MANN filter with the washer. http://new.minimania.com/part/G2NMK1055

There are many things I go for in the aftermarket, the oil filter is not one of them.

I agree. I've done two oil changes on my MINI thus far and have used MINI's oil and OEM filter. I plan on changing to Amsoil for my next oil change but I'm still going to use an OEM filter.

Amsoil is a great brand. I've stuck with Mobil1 0W-40 Euro Formula

MANN, Hengst, and Mahle make oem filters (and other parts) for BMW, Daimler-Benz, VAG (Volkswagen Automotive Group), and other car companies. I don't have a worry going with any of their branded filters.

Although MANN, Hengst, and Mahle are German companies, they're also multinational conglomerates. Thus their parts can be made outside Germany. For example, MANN has a Mexican factory that supplies parts for VW and Audi's Mexican assembly plants.

Folks have brought MANN filters to me and I've put them in with no problems to date

and I know that MANN does make OE filters for many makes.

However if you look here
http://new.minimania.com/ss/MPG_NM
you can see what I've seen on my work bench - that the MANN filters for both GEN MINI are not exactly the same as the OE. How much difference does it make? I dunno. But many folks around trust WAY & he only sells the OE filter kit - and it is $11.00 - here's what Way says about oil filters for MINI on his GEN1 oil filter listing:

Don't bother trying to save a dollar. Get these original MINI oil filter kit to change your oil. We only use these OEM filters in the shop for customer MINI's. Many aftermarket filters don't fit correct or the O rings will leak.

IME he ships fast and via USPS flat rate boxes. Buy a handful and reduce your shipping cost per item! Or get a cabin filter and an engine air filter at the same time and save on postage that way . . .

On the other hand I can get the OE from my dealer for $12 and pay no shipping . . . he's an hour away but when I'm over that way and I'm down to one I pick up 4 . . .

I found the dealer near me has oem filters online for $9.20 ($14 if you buy in person). Their website quoted me $8.60 shipping, but pick-up is available (I'm 20 miles away). So I got 3. Anyone in the Los Angeles area should stock up.
